Recycling
Our main objective is to use as much recycled glass (called cullet) as possible in our production processes. Using more recycled glass means consuming smaller quantities of raw materials
Energy Efficiency: Incorporating cullet into the glass-making process reduces the energy required to melt raw materials, as cullet melts at a lower temperature compared to virgin materials.
It is therefore in our, and in the common interest of the flat glass industry, that an increased quantity of cullet returns to the flat glass industry in a closed-loop model, i.e. 'flat glass to flat glass'.
Reduced Environmental Impact: The use of glass cullet minimizes landfill waste, conserves natural resources, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by lowering energy consumption during glass production.
High Recyclability: Glass cullet is 100% recyclable and can be reused multiple times without degrading in quality, making it an eco-friendly material for glass manufacturing.
